World Literature and Composition

​

This  literature-based integrated course provides students with an opportunity to become familiar with a wide range of literary forms, themes, cultures, and periods while developing proficiency in the use of grammar/usage and mechanics in their compositions.  Emphasis is placed on reader comprehension and higher order thinking. Students will analyze various works of literature (i.e. short stories, poems, song lyrics, etc.) through oral discussion and in written compositions.  They will produce various types of compositions and research projects. 

 

Class time:  9:00am - 9:55am - Tuesday 

Recommended Age/Grade: 9th -12th grade High School

Instructor: Mrs. Traci McPherson

Cost:  $50 a month
