Art - "Musing with the Masters"

Recommended Age/Grade: 6 through 12th grade

Course Material Supply Fee: $25.00 one time fee

Supply List: Teacher will purchase some supplies, student will receive a supply list and will need to purchase some additional  supplies. Supply list will be received before the start of the school year.

 

Students will use a variety of media to learn about the elements and composition styles of art. Students will also study in-depth historical artists and time periods in the art world. Using instruction and class discussions students will apply what they have learned to express themselves in their own piece of art. Things we will cover: Elements- Color, Value, Line, Shape, Form, Space Composition- Depth, Rhythm, Balance, Perspective and more! Medium- Paint, Watercolor, Charcoal, Pencil, Ink, Clay and others! History- Greek, Roman, Impressionists, Realists, and biographical lessons about some of the most important artists in history.
