American History

 

“Give your child a narrative study of American history from the time before there were boundaries and state lines all the way to America's involvement in space exploration. Show the events, wars, inventions, and more that have ushered America into being one of the most powerful countries in the world. This text presents the stories of hundreds of influential people that have made a difference in American history.” 

 


This class will present a survey of American history from Columbus through present time.  Class activity will include student discussion, a research paper, guest speakers, quizzes, a mid-term and a final exam.  There will be field trips to local civil war battleground sites, and other nearby historical sites. 

 

Class time:  10:00am - 10:55am - Tuesday

Age/Grade:  8th-12th
