Hop Through History with the American Girls

Do your girls love the American Girl Dolls? Do they devour the books at the library and can’t wait for another one? Would your children like to be more hands-on when learning about American History? Then this class is for you!

As the name of the class suggests, our primary resource will be the books and other materials from the American Girl series however, we will include art and crafts, cooking and craft activities, lap-books, and additional reading suggestions. We will weave a rich history lesson among the reading and crafting all while making new friends. (no dolls are required, however they are invited to join us for class if they wish)

We will cover approximately one to two girls a month and we will spend the month exploring her timeline, culture, crafts, foods and history. Activities planned will include things such as quilting, a tea party, making jam – just to name a few!

You will get a schedule with the dolls names in advance and your child will be expected to read the books ahead of our craft schedule.
