Inspire Clay Target Sports Team

The Inspire High School Clay Target Team is part of the Georgia State High School Clay Target League, a division of the USA High School Clay Target League, and of the USA Clay Target League – a non-profit corporation. The League is the independent provider of clay target shooting sports as an extracurricular co-ed and adaptive activity for high schools and students in grades 6 through 12. The League's priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship – in that order.

Cost: $150 per year, includes team shooting vest and league fee.  

Equipment: We rent firearms, ammunition is purchased at the gun club.  Each student athlete will be responsible for the cost of their firearm rental and ammunition purchase. This is not included in your registration.

Registration Deadline Due: March 17

  • Forms may be dropped off in person at Inspire Homeschool Academy on Tuesdays.

  • AVOID THE LINE - scan and emailed to - inspirehsa@gmail.com (subject line skeet) and payment made via credit card.  An invoice will be sent once your registration for is received.

Try-Outs: There are no try-outs.  All who register will make the team. You do not have to have prior gun or shooting knowledge to join the team. You will be taught by certified coaches from our team and at the gun club.

Certification: All student athletes must have a state-issued hunter education certificate or the League’s SAFE certification to participate. Parents/Legal Guardians can submit safety certification documentation during registration.  You may get your SAFE certification online for $25 at www.usaclaytargetsafe.com.

Uniforms: Hunt Vest will be provided.

Practices Held: Monday evening and/or Friday mornings at Governor’s Gun Club in Kennesaw.  You may practice your choice of one day or both days.

                               

​​Matches:  You do not need to travel for matches! Weekly matches at practices, starting the last week in March.  (schedule attached to forms)

We do expect to qualify for State Tournament. This will be an additional fee of about $35 if we qualify.  State tournament to be held in June.   National tournament to be held in July if we qualify.
